Depression

What it can look like:
Depression may involve persistent sadness, irritability, low energy, lack of motivation, changes in sleep or appetite, and a loss of interest in things that once brought joy. Some individuals feel disconnected from others or experience feelings of worthlessness.

How it manifests:
It can affect relationships, productivity, self-care, and the ability to engage in life. Some people may isolate themselves, stop pursuing goals, or have difficulty managing daily responsibilities.

Therapeutic approach:
Therapy helps identify underlying causes, including life events, trauma, or internalized beliefs. Clients are supported in rebuilding routine, finding purpose, and learning coping strategies to manage symptoms and improve mood and outlook.
